Known as the 5th Beatle and a founding member of the Get Fresh Crew, D.J. Kev-Ski is one of Hip Hop's true originals and pioneers.
Starting out in the late 70’s as a deejay at block parties around the community of Harlem, his more than 30-year career continues and has enabled him work with the A-Z of Hip Hop, New Jack Swing, Freestyle and artists from various genres of music - Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, Rob Base, Johnny Kemp, and The Force MD’s… just to name a few.
D.J. Kev-Ski’s career has excelled throughout the years to include world tours with Doug E. Fresh & the Get Fresh Crew, Kool Moe Dee, Whodini, Eric b. & Rakim, Biz Markie, Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Krs-One and Stetsasonic.
Although D.J. Kev-Ski’s busy schedule and international travel requires much of his time, he continues to work on various projects that allow him to continue his undying crave for ultimate diversity within the Hip Hop Entertainment Industry. D.J. Kev-Ski has been producing various projects, now enjoying more than 25 years of the use of his underground hit “Overdose” included in Play Station’s video game series titled KNOCKOUT KINGS.
D.J. Kev-Ski can now be heard on radio on “THE SHOW,” hosted by DOUG E. FRESH on Saturdays from 9pm-11pm on 107.5/WBLS, the urban adult contemporary FM radio station in New York City. D.J. Kev-Ski continues to pursue expansion of his career within the Entertainment Industry to include cinema and television projects.
D.J. Kev-Ski is considered to be a philanthropist within the Hip Hop Entertainment Industry and has participated in various events organized by non-profit institutions such as the THREE TO BE FOUNDATION: In Support of Research, EDUCATION AND THERAPIES FOR CHILDREN WITH NEUROLOGICAL DISORDERS, The MICHAEL “PINBALL” CLEMONS FOUNDATION, the UJA FEDERATION OF GREATER TORONTO and SPRING BLING THINK PINK… just to name a few.
